Deleting / Removing People

To delete a Team Member

Simply open their User Profile (click on their user name in any screen)

Open the section Profile Details and use the delete function.

Note: Any tasks assigned to the removed person will now be assigned to “Anyone”

Tip: Use the bulk change feature to quickly reassign all their tasks before you delete the user.


To remove a Sharer

In the “My Team” screen, there is a section Sharing this project.

Click on the Stop sharing link. This will remove the project from the sharers account. They will no longer see the project.

Note: Any tasks assigned to the removed person will now be assigned to “Anyone”

If someone has shared their project with you and you want to remove it from your account: You can delete the shared project (more info). This removes it from your account but preserves it on the other persons account.

If you want to keep the details of the project – and no longer share it:

Create a new project and use the Use an existing project as a template (read more) feature.

In the drop down select the project you were sharing. Once the new project is created, delete the old project.


Changing / Removing the Account Owner

You cannot easily remove an owner. It is a basic security issue ie we do not want our account owners being pushed out of their own accounts by disenchanted colleagues etc

However if you have a genuine reason to change the owners details here are some workarounds:

  • If you have access to their email use the forgot password feature and log in as them. Then change their email and username to whatever you’d prefer (see account settings / user settings).
  • A Co-Owner could use the bulk change feature to quickly reassign all their tasks.
