Layout
Layout - general
Dooster's layout is arranged into individual projects vs
the dashboard.
In the project overview screens you see tasks relating to
that project only.
In the dashboard you can see all tasks and projects combined
in one list.
Project Screens / Overviews
Each project can be accessed from the "switch project" tab
Each project has its own "project overview" screens - which
shows a summary of that project only, their own tasks, calendar,
files and so on

Click on any of the project level buttons to access each
project screen
Dashboard Screens
Your dashboard is where you see "all your stuff in one place".
Everything associated with you is viewable on your dashboard
- as well as being viewable in its particular location
For example: if you have several projects
with various tasks assigned to you, every task is listed on
your dashboard.
(Each task can also be seen in each project overview and their
task list etc).
Every task on your dashboard or project overviews can be
"drilled down" into ie clicking on it will open it up.
Your Dashboard sections:
There are various section / views available to you on your
dashboard. In particular:
All Tasks
Every task from every project is listed here. Use the filters
to control your views
Due Today
This section shows you every task / event / email that is
either due today or is overdue ie the task should be done
today - or have it's due date changed.
Upcoming
This section shows you every task / event / email etc that
is due in the future.
You can sort each column of your dashboard section to order
all the tasks by date, project/ priority / person assigned
and so on.
Filters
Filters are available in various screens eg your dashboard.,
project overviews and search area

To open filters simply click on the "filters"
button. Mouse over the "Filter by" selections and
a drop down will appear. Below shows the "Importance"
drop down. Tick on any of the check boxes in a drop down to
set the filter

These filter settings allow you to narrow down on
what you see on the screen by several factors. Combining
the various factors can be very powerful.
For example: Combining tasks "assigned
to" with "Priority" and the "Due"
date ranges would allow you to see every task assigned
to person X with top priority's due between specific
dates.
You could use this, for example, if your team member
John has asked to take holidays and you need to reallocate
his tasks for
this period to other staff.

Colour
Coding Projects
You can colour code each project. This makes all the contents
of a project the same colour.
This can make it easier to visually sort your dashboard.

Uses of Project Colours
You might want to assign a project color to denote importance
or proximity to a milestone. Or you might want colours to group
several projects. And so on. The choice is yours.
How to set the project colour
1) Go to the project settings tab.
2) Look in the Project Logo's and Colours tab (see
picture below).

3) Click inside the task colour dialogue box (see below)

This brings up the colour selector (see
below)

4) Choose your main colour by moving the roller bar up and
down (See A above)
5) Then refine the exact shade you want by dragging the small
picker (See B above)
Note that you will see your chosen colour in the task colour
dialogue box (See C above)
6) Then press save
